Approach

While all meditation has transformational power, an open approach is special in that it allows us to explore the richness of the meditative process, free from the constraints of technique or direction. This also makes it a very accessible practice — one that’s suitable for new meditators, as well as anyone with experience seeking more freedom and less instruction.

In an open meditation session, you are invited to meditate in any way you feel comfortable, then reflect on your experiences through writing and sharing.

It’s less about ‘learning’ what to do (as we naturally want to do things we learn in the ‘correct’ way, which is not the point); more about discovering what’s going on in your mind and body through the nuances of the process itself. Looking into what happens, what states arise, what’s felt and what’s missed during meditation can lead to fascinating insights about how you view yourself and the world.

Learn about this form of meditation using modern and relatable references. We’ll talk about your meditation recollections in a relaxed and spontaneous way, without searching for meanings or outcomes. My only objective is to support you to become curious and excited about the practice, the process, and your inner condition.
